Brian Cochrane congratulates BC’s newest MLA’s

Business manager Brian Cochrane travelled to Victoria, May 9, to witness the official swearing-in of BC’s newest MLA’s, Joe Trasolini and Gwen O’Mahony.

“I am excited to be working as part of such a positive, strong, and committed team,” said Gwen O’Mahony the new representative for traditional BC Liberal stronghold Chilliwack-Hope. “And I will be working hard to bring forward the perspectives and voices of the people I represent.”

Trasolini a four term mayor for Port Moody won the Port Moody-Coquitlam seat previously held by former cabinet minister Iain Black.

“It is an overwhelming feeling to be able to be here, representing the people back in the constituency of Port Moody-Coquitlam,” said Trasolini. “I’m the same person, and I will continue to be accessible and speaking about their issues.”

The scorecard in the B.C. legislature, one year before the next election, are Liberals, 46; NDP, 36; and three independents.
